USO VOLUNTEER WORKThe USO, or United Service Organization, gives the warriors of America strength and hope by keeping them connected to their families and communities at home while they are away serving the country. Wherever there is an American soldier, the USO is there for support. Over 200 USO centers are located beside many military sites within the United States as well as abroad, even in the midst of combat zones where only trained soldiers can be. Soldiers need not fear that they are alone because USO is feeding them support from the moment they join the service to the moment they retire.
Despite its mission to support the military, the USO is not directly affiliated with the United States government. It is an independent organization that accomplishes its mission through the funding of organizations and individuals alike, and through the support of passionate volunteers like you. |
